I figured with little January blog action and no upcoming holidays to sit around and talk, I would update everyone about my Euro volleyball trip!
For everyone that doesnt know, I went to Europe with a company call Bring It Promotions. It is a professional volleyball agency that places college graduates onto teams in Europe. I got a little lucky and was able to go over as a coach, even tho most of the players were about the same age as me. We traveled, drank a ton of beer, and played a little volleyball. All the players and coaches took vans and subways all over the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, and Serbia. At times, it was beautiful and great...and others not so much. The whole former Yugoslavia area is not my cup of tea.
Not to bore everyone with volleyball logistics but I was able to meet the National Team coaches of Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia. For a young volleyball coach who is still learning the game this was pretty sweet!! It was a great learning experience for me, got to see some of the world, and recruit some great players in Serbia and Croatia.
Hope all is well back in KY. I miss everyone a ton but Kansas is treating me well and with free trips to Europe I cant complain!
